iOS 9. X or APP problem?

On my iPad: The app plays ONE segment, then is locked up. Must stop app, rerun it, then select next segment.

On my iPhone 5s: Do NOT have to shutdown app to start playing another segment.

iPhone app needs an iPad version? Very annoying. Fix the app so the screen remains active during and after any selections are made on the iPad.
